Andy Richards
Andy was a “specialist” synthesizer player, who previously played with art-rock band The Strawbs (replacing Rick Wakeman) and who worked with Frankie Goes To Hollywood, with Trevor Horn. Andy was introduced to Peter Collins by Dave Meegan, who brought him in on ‘Power Windows’ for programming and some keyboards. “I cannot remember if it was Rush, but they were looking for a keyboard player,” says Dave. “I said, Trevor has been using this great guy Andy Richards on all the Frankie stuff, you should try him out.”
