Ben Mink
Ben is known for his experimentation with a wide variety of esoteric instruments. He first met the band in the early eighties as violinist with FM, who took over the support slot for Rush when Kim Mitchell left Max Webster during the ‘Moving Pictures’ tour.
Ben first collaborated with Rush on the ‘Signals’ track ‘Losing It’, on which he played electric violin. Ben had developed a broad repertoire – he was involved in country music, as well as writing material for such artists as K. D. Lang and Barenaked Ladies. He later collaborated with Geddy on ‘My Favorite Headache’.
