Eraldo Carugati
Born in 1921 in Italy, Eraldo Carugati emigrated to the United States after the Second World War, where he went to University of New Mexico. As well as painting the cover for ‘Fly By Night’, Eraldo was later commissioned to produce a number of illustrations for magazines such as Oui and Playboy. The most famous – and controversial – showed President Nixon as a Russian puppet. In 1978, he painted portraits of each member of Kiss, for their solo covers.
