The model Chipmunk I built was a symbol; the beginning of the end of my tenure with RUSH. A magnificent, Canadian designed, control-line stunt plane bearing the number 8 on the starboard wing signifying the eighth record for the band and myself, one in a series of ten musical adventures. As Alex’s radio-controlled high-wing soared into the heavens the little Chipmunk roared in a circle three times then buried itself in the long grass; amusing, yes, but never the less poignant.
This book lays bare the entire story, providing insight and anecdote, detailing events otherwise missed or overlooked and above all following a truly unique musical journey.
