Robbie Whelan
Robbie was a resident engineer at Le Studio, assistant to Paul Northfield. “He was loved by all the clients and especially by Neil,” says colleague Frank Opolko. “Nothing was impossible for Robbie – any request, legal or otherwise!”
Robbie worked with Terry Brown on ‘Permanent Waves’, ‘Moving Pictures’ and ‘Signals’, shortly after which he died in a car crash. “Tragically one morning, on his way to work and during The Asia sessions,” says Frank. ‘Grace Under Pressure’ was dedicated to him.
